Norma L. Amaya, 07.09.1966 – 07.26.20, cherished her family and friends. It reflected in her choices, empathy toward others, and those surrounding her; while she volunteered at her children’s elementary school to raise money, when she never missed the opportunity to chaperone her children on field trips, as she spent more time recording photographs early on of her family then being in them. She was a forthright person who would speak her mind. Someone you could trust to be honest when confided in. And as her siblings could attest someone that they shouldn’t annoy without repercussions. She stood as a bedrock that gave stability in our lives whether we appreciated it or not. Her presence staying our feet as we her.
She is survived by many who wished her well in heart and faith. Including her church community where she enjoyed their friendship, support, and shared teachings. There were times that were difficult, but her unyielding love and ours guided her path. She wouldn’t consider herself a strong willed person, but those that knew her could certainly think of things to say otherwise. She leaves that strength-of-will impressed upon us as we grieve. As our memories comfort us through loss and an irreplaceable part of our lives.
