Jose Alfredo Santos-Alvarez

Jose Alfredo Alvarez- Santos 58, passed away July 17, 2020 in Baytown, Texas. He was born March 21, 1962 in Reynosa Tamaulipas Mexico.

Jose attended Stephen F. Austin Highschool for one year and procced to get his GED in the Job Corps. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1981-1984 and was discharged honorably. He was a meter specialist for the City of Baytown Water Department for the past 5 years.

He is survived by his brothers Jorge Santos, Florencio Santos, Fernando Santos Medellin and sisters Norma Santos, Saida DeLeon, Liliana Velez, and Rosalba Santos; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Florencio Santos and Lilia Santos, and his brother Juan Santos.

Jose was funny, enjoyable, philosophical, lovable and above all else, unique.  He had a thirst for knowledge.  He loved reading books and loved watching documentaries and comedy shows.  He was always there to listen and not judge you.  He made light of sad situations. He was known for the odd jokes that only he and his sister Saida found funny.  He will be truly missed as we remember him and the moments, he shared with everyone.
